POEM FOR LADIES OF GRACE

   The friend I see not

Expanse of oceans separated us

Stanchions of life put us apart

All things being equal

We shouldn't have met

 But all things weren't, we did

Technology connected us

WhatsApp thank you

And glad were we

 Our friendship rapidly blossom

Like a Lilly in the meadow

Our shadows exchange lights

And we lost track of time

I can't believe it's only a few months we've been friends

The secrets we've shared

 The love we've paired

Differences in our schedules wasn't a barrier

Sacrifice was employed

And commitment deployed

Now, instincts tell us sooner or later 

we shall meet

How shall it be?

I don't know how 

O' the friend I see not

But this is certain

The stars will sing.
