When I began intensive prayer and Word, in three months every taste for sexual acts left me. In three months, I was liberated forever from an addiction I had struggled with for years!!
Amazingly, some of the guys I had encounters with became my students in foundation school, so also were some ladies who called me names. Many people who wrote me off in the past call me “Pastor” today (even though I am not ordained). I do not boast but I boast in the Lord for those who called you names would turn to seek your counsel one day. This is Grace at Work!!!
And the best part! Remember the brother that used to intercede for me? In 2014, he proposed for a relationship that can lead to marriage. People began to wonder and ask,
“Is that not the same girl who has a record and stigma of being bad? What business does that guy have with her? Why should a good guy be in a relationship with a bad girl?” And my answers to all these questions: Grace does wonders!! When God was working on me, they were still looking for the dead among the living. The old man in me is dead and long gone.
Some concluded that someone like me can never change. Dearest, it doesn’t matter who has written you off. Let people talk all they want but keep loving them; no hating permitted. Your ONLY concern should be what God is saying about you. And that can be seen in the Bible – His written Word. He says masturbation, pornography, sex or any form of sin has no power over you! He says you have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and brought into light. He says you have left that old country of sin. Where you live now is in Grace Country. It is abnormal for humans to eat faeces when they are hungry. In the same vein, His Word says, how can you who is dead to sin live in it any further? He says come out beloved. Come out…you are not of them that sin. You are of God. To crown it all, the same principles which worked for me also worked for some ladies who were tied down with serious sexual addictions that I was privileged to meet. Trust me on this; THE WORD WORKS!!!
God is sweet
God is Love
And He is faithful
His Word is the Only change agent I know that works wonders...
Stay with the Word and watch Him bring you over.
May He shower you with more of His love
No addiction…no pain…nothing can separate you from the Love of God (Romans 8:39)
