| SPIRITUAL GIFTS |
When we say spiritual, it means something from the spirit realm, or pertaining to the spirit. Gifts means something given freely that is, without charge.
Spiritual gifts is something orchestrated by God to be freely given to humanity through the Holy Spirit after the acceptance/believe(born again) of His son (Jesus) death and resurrection to us.
As a believer it is expected that we receive spiritual gifts as part of our inheritance in Christ Jesus. Because in it are The signs that will follow us according to what Christ said in
Mark 16:17-18 (KJV)
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
I Corinthians 12 spoke expressly on the spiritual gifts we have:
1 Corinthians 12:7-11 (KJV) But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
1 Corinthians 12:28 (KJV) And God hath set some in the Spirit, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues...
Yes will like us to show us one that apostle Paul said we should covet earnestly which is Love!
I know we know love to be part of the fruit of spirit but it is also a gift if we read through 1 Corinthians 13... Yes we will see that love covers all other gifts and that is what we should covet earnestly.
Now to all this gifts above, somebody once ask me that can a man exhibit all? And I said Yes a man can!
The deeper we go the deeper we are are given these gifts and also the more we use it the more the Holy Spirit gives us more and the more we become a better person in Christ Jesus.
I know most of us can speak in tongues, but how many of us speak aside been in church or been in a prayer gathering?
And still we clamour that we want other gifts when we are fast forgotten that God doesn't waste His resources.
HOW DO I GET THESE GIFT
*You must first receive and believe Him that was sent, because he is the one that gave the promise of the Holy Spirit.
[KJV] John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.
*We must desire to have it.
We all know that it's our choice to either receive a gift or reject it. So we must covet it.
*We must continually make use of It, that is building ourselves up with it. Jude 1:20 (KJV) But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.
*Our intentions must be right in the way we use or covet it.
That is it must be for the edification of the body of Christ and also for our growth as a believer.
[NLT] 1 Corinthians 12:7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.
Have you discover ur own gifts, or you have left it dormant?
It's time to awaken those gifts to shake our world.
Gift of government, hmmmm you can move this generation by your administration in politics or even your immediate environments!
Gift of help those are the Tabitha of our time, who will not want to see another person lack but provide even if it's there last penny.
Your tongues can shake the world in the place of prayer and worship, what are you waiting for?
A lot of us has got this word of wisdom, knowledge, prophecy........ But we are too timid to come out of that shell, but the sadden thing is that we will account for it oooo .
N. B All these gifts works hand in hand with our ministry and call.
Ephesians 4:11 (KJV) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teacher.
But I think as young ones growing we still need to talk on the discovery of the gifts so that d devil will not rub us of our right.
Like I said above the more you use the one you have the more the Holy Spirit dispense more to you.
Gifts of healing, miracles.....
People around you might be sick, you've got this to raise them up, even we ourselves needs it at one time or the other.
Hmm... Lemme share an experience
I was down with chicken pox lately and on admission. Right there on the bed was shivering and having serious bone pains
I just got angry on the sick bed and started casting out the demon behind that, the nurses were scared and asked if I was praying and just few minutes after the prayers I was fine taking selfie.
Yes because it's for us at our growing stage and we will get to a point where it becomes part of us.
For me my tongues is anywhere any moment, anyhow, anyday, I don't get to church before I speak, I speak anytime and it unleach other hidden gifts as I speak!
Gifts are coming alive!
If you cannot speak, Just place your hand in your chest and say I receive the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues!
I want you to have faith and yes the Holy Spirit will give you utterance.
Just stay tuned in the Spirit.
